Procedure

3-[3-bromo-4-(3-chloropropoxy)phenyl]-2-ethyl-4(3H)-quinazolinone (70 mg) was dissolved in piperidine (1 mL), and stirred at 80° C. for 5 hours. The reaction solution was diluted with diethyl ether, and insoluble matter was filtered off. The filtrate was concentrated, dried under vacuum, and the title compound (80 mg, 99%) was thus obtained as a light yellow solid.
