Procedure
To a mixture of 1-(5-chloro-7-pyridin-3-yl-[1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridin-2-yl)-3-ethyl-urea (0.2 g, 0.63 mmol) obtained in step 1, 6-Methoxy-pyridine-3-boronic acid (0.12 g, 0.78 mmol), and sodium carbonate (0.71 mL of a 2 M aqueous solution) in dioxane (6 mL) was added the catalyst Pd(dppf)Cl2 (30 mg, 5 mol %) and the resulting mixture was heated to reflux for 36 hours. The solvent was removed under reduced pressure. Purification using silica gel chromatography (2-10% MeOH/CHCl3) gave the title compound as a solid LCMS (APC+) 390.
