The title compound of Step B was prepared from 7-(4-thiazol-2-yl-benzylamino)-heptanoic acid methyl ester of Step A and 1-methyl-1H-imidazole-4-sulfonyl chloride following the method described in Example 1, Step B using triethylamine in place of N,N-diisopropylethylamine. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 7.90 (d, 2H), 7.85 (d, 1H), 7.49 (s, 1H), 7.43 (m, 3H), 7.32 (d, 1H), 4.47 (s, 2H), 3.74 (s, 3H), 3.62 (s, 3H), 3.20 (t, 2H), 2.20 (t, 2H), 1.48 (m, 2H), 1.40 (m, 2H), 1.15 (m, 4H); MS 477 (M+1).
