was synthesized by methods similar to those in Examples 3 and 4: 2,6-dimethylaniline was condensed with 2,3,7,8-tetrahydro-1H,6H-acridine-4,5-dione to yield 4,5-bis[2,6-dimethylphenylimino]-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydroacridine (3). The complexation of (3) with FeCl2.4H2O was carried out with azeotropic removal of methanol in benzene. The structure of final complex was proved by X-ray analysis.
