Reaction Steps
The product from Example 11 is dissolved in aqueous tetrahydrofuran and treated with a molar excess of aqueous sodium hydroxide. After the reaction is complete, the solution is acidified with dilute hydrochloric acid to precipitate out (cis)-4-[3-[6-(aminosulfonyl)-7-chloro-1,2,3,4-tetrahysro-4-oxo-2-quinazolinyl]phenoxy]-1-[[(2-carboxyethyl)ethylamino]carbonyl]-L-proline.
