Cyclopentanecarboxylic acid (2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-6-yl)-amide was condensed with 3,5-dichlorosalicylaldehyde using method B to give a mixture of isomers of cyclopentanecarboxylic acid [3-(3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxy-benzylidene)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-6-yl]-amide as an orange solid which was reduced using method D to give 10 mg (40%) of cyclopentanecarboxylic acid [3-(3,5-dichloro-2-hydroxybenzyl)-2-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-6-yl]-amide as an off-white crystalline solid.
