A 10-mL round bottom flask was charge with Compound 65 (0.15 g, 2.0 mmol) and dichloromethane (2.0 mL). Trifluoroacetic acid (0.5 mL) was added and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 3 h. The mixture was concentrated in vacuo to give Compound 66 (113 mg) as a yellow solid. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) δ 7.63-7.69 (m, 1 H), 7.50-7.56 (m, 5H), 7.40-7.42 (m, 1 H), 7.26-7.29 (m, 1H), 7.13-7.18 (m, 1 H), 7.02-7.06 (m, 1 H), 6.88-6.92 (m, 1 H), 5.25 (q, J=7.0 Hz, 1 H), 4.47 (q, J=6.8 Hz, 1 H), 3.85 (s, 3 H), 3.80 (s, 3 H), 3.47-3.60 (m, 3 H), 3.32-3.36 (m, 4 H), 2.96-3.07 (m, 3 H), 2.54-2.67 (m, 1 H), 2.32-2.42 (m, 1 H), 1.80 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 3 H), and 1.64-1.69 (s, 2 H); MS (ES+) 543 (M+1).
