Reaction Steps
10.44 g of the product of Step 3, above, and 40 ml of acetic anhydride are warmed slowly to 40° for 2 hours. The mixture is added to water, extracted with ethyl acetate, dried and reduced in volume. Petroleum ether is added to achieve the title product (mp 165° to 167°)
