The title compound is prepared from 2-benzyloxy-1-[6-(4-bromo-2-chloro-phenylamino)-7-fluoro-3H-benzoimidazol-5-yl]-ethanol 10r by the procedure described in Example 42, Step B except that the reaction mixture is not treated with saturated aqueous NaHCO3 containing sodium thiosulfate pentahydrate: MS APCI (+) m/z 488, 490 (M+, Br pattern) detected; 1H NMR (400 MHz, CD3OD) δ 8.37 (s, 1H), 8.02 (s, 1H), 7.51 (d, 1H), 7.26 (m, 5H), 7.19 (dd, 1H), 6.46 (dd, 1H), 4.77 (s, 2H), 4.58 (s, 2H); 19F NMR (376 MHz, CD3OD) −134.52 (s).
