Procedure
50 g (0.18 mol) of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-2,2-dimethyl-4-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-3-butanone are heated under reflux with 23.6 g (0.138 mol) of dimethylformamide dimethylacetal for 8 hours. To isolate the end product, the reaction mixture is concentrated in vacuo. 56.5 g (94.4% of theory) of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-2,2-dimethyl-5-dimethylamino-4-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-4-penten-3-one of refractive index n20 1.5797 are obtained. ##STR17##
