Reaction Steps
A mixture of 37.5 parts of 4-isothiocyanato-1-methylpiperidine, 21.8 parts of 4-methoxy-1,2-benzenediamine and 270 parts of tetrahydrofuran was stirred and refluxed for 2 hours. The whole was evaporated, yielding 44 parts (100%) of N-(2-amino-5-methoxyphenyl)-N'-(1-methyl-4-piperidinyl)thiourea as a residue (interm. 26).
