To a mixture of EXAMPLE 218A (3.52 g) in tetrahydrofuran (30 ml) was slowly added methylmagnesium chloride (3 M in tetrahydrofuran, 7.08 ml) at −78° C. After the addition was completed, the reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 30 minutes and ice-water was added. The resulting mixture was extracted with dichloromethane and the organic layer was dried over Na2SO4 and concentrated. The residue was purified by flash chromatography, eluting with 0-100% dichloromethane in hexane to provide the title compound.
