The title compound was synthesized in a similar manner as 11-hydroxy-2,3,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-1H-azepino[3,2,1-ij]quinolone starting from 5-methoxytetralone: 1H NMR (DMSO-d6) δ 8.69 (s, 1H), 6.55 (d, 1H); 6.27 (d, 1H), 3.05-3.02 (m, 2H), 2.92-2.89 (m, 2H), 2.68-2.64 (m, 2H), 2.54 (t, 2H), 1.69-1.60 (m, 4H), 1.45-1.37 (m, 2H); MS expected 204 (C13H18NO, M+1), found 204.
