Procedure
A solution of 58c (550 mg, 1.58 mmol) in CH2Cl2(10 ml) was treated with trifluoro acetic acid (1.22 ml) at 20-35° C. for 2 h. The progress of the reaction was monitored by TLC. After 16 h of stirring, the clear solution was concentrated under vacuum and the resultant solid was washed with diethyl ether to get the desired compound as a creamy white solid (400 mg, 87%). MS (ES) m/e 290.1 (M−H)+.
