3,8-Diaza-bicyclo[4.2.0]octane-3-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (240 mg, 1.1 mmol), 2,4-dimethyl-benzenesulfonyl chloride (278 mg, 1.4 mmol) and di-isopropylethylamine (0.4 mL, 2.3 mmol) were dissolved into DCM (5.0 mL) and stirred at room temperature for 18 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with DCM (25 mL) and washed with 1N NaOH (10 mL) and water (2×20 mL). The organic layers were combined, dried, filtered and concentrated to yield the title compound (300 mg, 97%).
