To the title compound of Step A (134 mg, 0.5 mmol) in MeOH (1 mL) was added aqueous 2M NaOH (1 mL). After 1 h at rt, the reaction was heated to 50° C. for 1 h, cooled to rt, acidified with 1N HCl, concentrated and used in subsequent steps without further purification. MS (ESI) mass calcd. for C12H8N4O2, 240.2; m/z found 241.0 [M+H]+.
