Procedure
To a −20° C. solution of tert-butyl 4-(5-(1-(3-methoxy-4-((6-methoxypyridin-3-yl)methoxy)benzyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-5-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl)piperidine-1-carboxylate (0.090 mg, 0.14 mmol) in dichloromethane (10 mL) was added trifluoroacetic acid (1.0 mL). The resulting mixture was stirred at −20° C. After 1 h, the mixture was concentrated. The residue was purified by Prep-HPLC to afford 0.010 g (14%) of the product as a yellow solid: 1H NMR (500 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.43 (s, 1H), 8.19 (d, J=1.0 Hz, 1H), 8.02-8.01 (m, 2H), 7.67 (dd, J=8.5, 2.0 Hz, 1H), 7.42 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 1H), 6.89 (d, J=8.5 Hz, 1H), 6.76-6.72 (m, 3H), 5.32 (s, 2H), 5.03 (s, 2H), 3.93 (s, 3H), 3.78 (s, 3H), 3.31-3.29 (m, 2H), 3.23-3.21 (m, 1H), 2.92-2.88 (m, 2H), 2.23-2.21 (m, 2H), 2.02-1.98 (m, 2H) ppm; (M+1)=527.
