Reaction Steps

The product of step (b) (0.2 g) and 3-amino-propanol (0.11 g) were dissolved in dimethylformamide (4 ml) and stirred for 24 h. The reaction was poured into water and extracted into ethyl acetate. The organic extract was washed with brine, dried over magnesium sulphate and evaporated to dryness and triturated with 1N HCl in ether to give the product as a white solid.
