The same procedure was employed as for the preparation of 2e in Example 17: it was performed with 0.18 g (0.88 mmol) of pure alcohol 1g, 3 cm of distilled water and 0.12 g (3 mmol) of sodium hydroxide, reaction time was 1 h 15 min; ether extraction (3×12 cm). After treatment, 0.13 g of epoxide 2f were obtained (macrobore GC purity>98%). The yield of epoxide 2f was 81%.
