Reaction Steps

A mixture of 0.80 g of N-[(4,6-dimethoxypyrimidin-2-yl)aminocarbonyl]-2-aminobenzenesulfonamide, 0.29 g of [chloromethylene]dimethylammonium chloride and 8 ml of DMF is stirred at room temperature until the reaction has ended. The volatile components are distilled off under reduced pressure and the residue is washed with water and methyl acetate, affording 0.28 g of the desired product. Melting point: 209-210° C.
