Procedure
A solution of 2,4-dichloroquinazoline (0.940 g, 4.70 mmol) in dichloromethane (50 mL) was treated with (S)-(−)-1-boc-3-aminopyrrolidine (0.863 mL, 4.70 mmol) followed by triethylamine (2 mL, 14.20 mmol) and the solution was stirred at room temperature for 36 hours. The mixture was diluted with water (20 mL) and extracted with diethyl ether (2×20 mL). The combined organic extracts were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated to give the title compound as a pale brown solid which was used without further purification.
