Procedure

To a solution of (2S)-1-(2-(2-aminoethyl)-5-(2,5-difluorophenyl)-2-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazol-3(2H)-yl)-2-methoxypropan-1-one (34.5 mg, 0.0721 mmol) and cyanogen bromide (9.9 mg, 0.0938 mmol) in dichloromethane (1 mL) was slowly added triethylamine (25.5 mg, 0.252 mmol). After stirring at room temperature for 1 hour, the mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure to provide the crude product that was used without further purification.
