4-{4-[4-(3-tert-Butyl-phenylcarbamoyl)-phenyl]-piperidin-1-yl}-2,2-dimethyl-4-oxo-butyric acid was synthesized from N-(3-tert-butyl-phenyl)-4-piperidin-4-yl-benzamide and 2,2-dimethylsuccinic anhydride in a method similar to the one described in the synthesis of 4-{4-[5-(3-tert-butyl-phenylcarbamoyl)-pyridin-2-yl]-piperazin-1-yl}-2,2-dimethyl-4-oxo-butyric acid above. LCMS calcd for C28H36N2O4 (m/e) 464, obsd 465 (M+H).
