4-Hydroxy-2-oxo-6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-2H-chromene-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester was prepared from 6-bromo-4-hydroxy-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester and 4-(trifluoromethyl)phenylboronic acid under conditions analogous to example 3-a. MS ESI(+) m/e: 365 (M+1).
