204 mg (1.54 mmol) of N-chlorosuccinimide and 50 μl of 1M aqueous hydrochloric acid are added to a solution of 250 mg (0.70 mmol) of 2,2,2-trifluoro-N-[3,5-difluoro-4-(1H-pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridin-4-yloxy)phenyl]acetamide in anhydrous tetrahydrofuran (5 ml). The solution is stirred at RT overnight. The title compound precipitates from the reaction mixture. A solid is obtained by filtration with suction and drying.
