Procedure

Meta-chloroperbenzoic acid (77%) (30 mg, 0.13 mmol) was added portionwise to a solution of the title compound from Example 25 (50 mg, 0.13 mmol) in dichloromethane (2.5 mL) at 0° C. and the reaction mixture was stirred overnight at room temperature. Then, more dichloromethane was added (50 mL) and the solution was washed with 1N NaOH (2×30 ml) and brine. The organic layer was dried over sodium sulphate and concentrated under reduced pressure to yield an oil which was purified by column chromatography on silica gel, using hexane/ethyl acetate (5:1) as eluent, to yield the title compound (24 mg, 46%) as an off-white solid.
