To a solution of triphenylphosphine (1.1 eq.) and iodine (1.1 eq.) in CH2Cl2 (0.12M) at room temperature was added over 2 h a solution of the alcohol from step 3 (1 eq.) and imidazole (1.1 eq.) in CH2Cl2 (0.12M). The final mixture was stirred 14 h at room temperature. To the resulting suspension was added silica gel and the mixture was evaporated in vacuo. The residue was laid over a pad of silica gel, elution with Hex/EtOAc 10% afforded, after evaporation, the title compound as a white solid.
