To a solution of tert-butyl(3-((3-(3,4-dihydroisoquinolin-2(1H)-yl)-2-hydroxypropyl)carbamoyl)phenyl)carbamate (500 mg, 1.18 mmol) in DCM (5 mL) was added TFA (5 mL). The mixture was stirred at 25° C. for 16 h. The reaction solution was concentrated, and the residue was dissolved in water, pH was adjusted to 7-7.5 with saturated aqueous NaHCO3 and extracted with EA. The organic layer was concentrated to give the title product (360 mg, Yield 94%). The crude product was used in next step without further purification. LCMS (m/z): 326.2 (M+1).
