Procedure
To a stirred solution of D4 in DCM (0.19 M) cooled to 0° C. was slowly added TFA (35 eq.). The reaction mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 30 min then allowed to warm up to room temperature and stirred for another 2 h. Solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure affording an oily residue was co-evaporated first with toluene then with Et2O to give the title compound as a pale brown solid which was used as such in the next step. MS (ES+) C18H22IN3O4: 472 (M+H)+.
