A mixture of 4-chloro-1-(2-cyclopropyl-1-methyl-1H-benzimidazol-6-yl)pyridin-2(1H)-one (800 mg), (5-(trifluoromethyl)-3-thienyl)methanol (972 mg), cesium carbonate (2.61 g) and DMF (8 ml) was stirred at 80° C. overnight. The mixture was poured into water and extracted with EtOAc-THF. The extract was washed with brine, dried over MgSO4, concentrated and purified by NH silica gel column chromatography (hexane/EtOAc). The resulting solid was recrystallized from EtOH-water to give the title compound (258 mg) as a white solid.
