To a solution of methyl 2-(acetyloxy)-4-(bromomethyl)-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzoate (may be prepared as described in Description 47; 309 mg, 0.87 mmol) in acetone (5 ml) was added triethylamine (0.24 ml, 1.74 mmol) and morpholine (0.10 ml, 1.13 mmol) the solution was stirred for 2 hours. The solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue was dissolved in ethyl acetate (10 ml), washed with water (10 ml), dried (MgSO4) and the solvent removed in vacuo to give the title compound. 300 mg.
