Trifluoroacetic acid (0.066 mL) was added to a mixture of (S)-3-aminohexan-1-ol (300 mg) and the product from step (vii) (490 mg) in propionitrile (5 mL). The mixture was heated at 120° C. for 16 h and cooled to RT. The solvent was removed by evaporation. The residue was purified by flash column chromatography on amino silica gel to afford the sub-title compound (330 mg) as a colourless gum; 1H NMR (CDCl3); 6.94 (1H, s), 6.88 (1H, d), 6.79 (1H, d), 4.66 (1H, d), 4.58 (2H, br s), 4.13 (2H, q), 4.11-4.06 (1H, m), 3.88 (3H, s), 3.70 (2H, s), 3.66 (2H, s), 3.42 (1H, ddd), 3.28-3.20 (3H, m), 2.65 (2H, q), 2.34 (3H, s), 1.82-1.74 (1H, m), 1.45-1.33 (1H, m), 1.26-1.21 (5H, m), 1.07-1.02 (5H, m), 0.73 (3H, t).
