Procedure
9.05 g of 2,6-difluorobenzoyl chloride and a solution of 2.17 g of sodium hydroxide in 7.5 ml of water are simultaneously dropped into a solution of 1.25 g of hydrazine hydrate in 25 ml of water under stirring and cooling by ice-water. After addition, the white suspension is stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. After filtration the solid product is washed with water and recrystallized from glacial acetic acid to yield 6.3 g of desired product as white crystals.
