Reaction Steps
A solution of 0.5 g of 4-acetylamino-5-acetylaminosulfonyl-2-chloropyridine (preceding stage) in 10 cm3 of water containing 0.137 g of NaOH (2 equivalents) is brought to reflux for 15 minutes. After cooling, the solution is adjusted to a pH of 6 and the precipitate obtained is collected on a filter, washed with water and dried.
