tert-Butyl 2-benzylhexahydro-4-methyl-3-oxo-1H-1,4-diazepine-1-carboxylate obtained in Step A was dissolved in 4M hydrochoride in dioxane and evaporated after 2.5 h to yield the hydrochloride salt of the desired compound.
