Crude 2-(1-benzenesulphonylcyclopropylmethyl)oxirane (500 mg, 2.1 mmol), potassium carbonate (580 mg, 4.2 mmol) and 3,4-dimethyl-1,2,5,6-tetrahydropyridine (470 mg, 4.2 mmol) in acetonitrile (3 ml) were heated at 60° C. for 18 hours. The mixture was purified by preparative thin layer chromatography, eluting with 5% methanol/dichloromethane, to give the title compound.
