Procedure

Following the procedure for preparation of compound 119, and substituting bromophthalide with iodomethane, provided the title compound 120. 1H NMR (CD3OD, 400 MHz): 1.44 (s, 3H), 3.00 (dd, 2H), 3.80 (2 s, 6H), 4.77 (s, 3H), 6.71–6.86 (m, 3H). MS (ESI) m/z 269.33 (M+H+).
