4-({[2-(2,2-Dimethyl-5-oxo-[1,3]-dioxolan-4-ylidene)-acetyl]-methoxyamino}-methyl)-benzoic acid methyl ester was treated with methanol as described in the preparation of Compound 44-D and gave the title ester as a white solid. 1HNMR 400 MHz (CDCl3) δ (ppm): 3.70 (3H, s, OCH3), 3.90 (3H, s, OCH3), 3.91 (3H, s, OCH3), 4.89 (2H, s, NCH2), 6.5 (1H, s, CH), 7.39 (2H, d, J=8.1 Hz, aromatics), 8.02 (2H, d, J=8.1 Hz, aromatics). HRMS (ES+) calculated for C15H18NO7, [M+H]+: 324.108327. found: 324.109066.
