Aldehyde 8.3 was prepared from 8.2 according to the procedure described above for the preparation aldehyde 2.2. In this example, 8.2 (295 mg, 0.668 mmol) was oxidized to yield 242 mg (82%) of 8.3. MS (ESI) 439.3 (MH+).
