A suspension of 2-[(5)-3-amino-1-pyrrolidinyl]-6-chloro-N-(cyclohexylmethyl)-5-quinolinecarboxamide (Example 44) (0.10 g) and triethylamine (0.04 mL) in ethanol (20 mL) was treated with 5% palladium on charcoal (0.05 g) and stirred under 2 atmospheres of hydrogen at ambient temperature for 16 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered through Celite and the liquors concentrated to dryness. Recrystallisation from methanol/ethyl acetate afforded to title compound (0.05 g).
