To a solution of N-{4-[2-amino-6-{2-(cyclopropylmethoxy)-6-[(4-methoxybenzyl)oxy]phenyl}-3-(hydroxymethyl)-4-pyridinyl]-2-hydroxyphenyl}acetamide (0.013 g, 0.023 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane (0.5 mL) was added a solution of HCl in 1,4-dioxane (4N, 1.0 mL). After being stirred overnight, the mixture was diluted with diethyl ether. The resulting precipitate was collected by filtration under argon atmosphere, washed with Et2O, and dried under reduced pressure to give of N-{4-[2-amino-6-[2-(cyclopropylmethoxy)-6-hydroxyphenyl]-3-(hydroxymethyl)-4-pyridinyl]-2-hydroxyphenyl}acetamide. (0.025 g, 80%); LC-MS (m/z=436, M+1)
