Reaction Steps
A solution of the ester (8) (252 mg, 0.60 mmol), TFA (4 ml) and CH2Cl2 (8 ml) was stirred at ambient temperature for 3 hours. The mixture was evaporated to dryness and the residue purified by flash chromatography (silica, EtOH/NH4OH 19:1) to provide (9) as off-white foam. NMR conforms to structure.
