Catalytic amount palladium hydroxide on carbon powder (20% Pd, moisture ea. 60%) was added to the solution of N-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-7-benzyl-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2-(morpholinomethyl)pyrido[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine (240 mg, 0.51 mmol) in methanol and was stirred at hydrogen atmosphere over night at room temperature. Reaction solution was filtered through celite and filtrate was concentrated to yield the product as a white powder (150 mg, 77%).
