Procedure

A mixture of 4-chloro-7-(3-chloropyridin-2-yl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydropyrido[3,4-d]pyrimidine (0.025 g, 0.09 mmol) and 2-phenylethanamine (0.065 mL, 0.51 mmol)) in acetonitrile (1 mL) was heated in a sealed vessel via microwave (Emrys Optimizer model, Personal Chemistry) to 180° C. for 10 min. The reaction mixture was cooled to r.t. and concentrated to dryness. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography using a gradient of ethyl acetate:hexane (0-100%) to give the desired compound as a white solid (19 mg).
