160.0 g (0.79 mol) of 3,4-dichlorophenylacetone in 700 ml of ethanol are introduced into a reactor, and the mixture is heated to 40° C. to obtain dissolution. 53.0 g (0.81 mol) of potassium cyanide, 149.0 g of ammonium sesquicarbonate and 700 ml of water are then added.
