Reaction Steps

A mixture of the compound (243 mg) obtained in Example 4a and saturated HCl-ethanol (10 ml) was stirred at room temperature for 29 hours. The reaction mixture was concentrated at reduced pressure and the resulting residue was recrystallized from ethanol-ethyl acetate to give the titled compound (yield, 61%).
