The title compound was prepared by a similar method to preparation 60 from (2R-1-(cyclopropylmethyl-2-piperidinecarboxamide [see preparation 69] and lithium aluminium hydride. The crude product was purified by column chromatography on silica gel using dichloromethane:methanol:0.88 ammonia (90:10:0.1) as the eluant, to afford the product as a yellow oil, (71%).
