Reaction Steps

Using the procedure of Example 10B and starting with 357 mg of 1,2-dimethyl-1H-imidazo[4,5-c]pyridine and 270 mg of selenium dioxide in 30 ml of dioxane, there was obtained 313 mg of the title product.
