Procedure

Lithium hydroxide (2 M, 4 ml) was warmed to 40° C. and a solution of methyl 6-(4-{[(4-bromo-5-methyl-1H-pyrrol-2-yl)carbonyl]amino}piperidin-1-yl)-2-chloropyrimidine-4-carboxylate (Example 73, 0.180 g, 0.394 mmol) in MeOH was added. The reaction was stirred at 40° C. for 30 mins. The MeOH was removed and the aqueous solution was cooled to 0° C. and it was acidified with 6 M HCl. The acidic solution was extracted with EtOAc, dried over MgSO4 and concentrated to give pink solid (0.15 g, 86%). An analytical sample was purified by reversed phase HPLC (acetonitrile/water (0.1% TFA), 20-95%).
