Reaction Steps
1,7,7-Trimethyl-5-pentyl-2-phenethyl-5,7-dihydro-1H-imidazo[4,5-f]indol-6-one is prepared from crude N-(3,3-dimethyl-6-nitro-2-oxo-1-pentyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-indol-5-yl)-N-methyl-3-phenyl-propionamide as described in Example 3b. The desired compound (78 mg) is obtained by flash chromatography on silica gel eluting with CH2Cl2/MeOH (98:2).
